These machines SUCK!
I have a joy and a maker, both suck. they don't let you pick no *** mat even though i am using their expensive *** smart vinyl.
The program is the problem on this issue to be honest not the machines themselves. On another issue the wheels that feed the vinyl through the machines go bonkers sometimes and you can't replace them, well come to find out you can but they are no help. My joy doesn't "talk" to my main computer so I must use it on my phone or ipad only and the make the exact opposite.
Sometimes my maker runs fine off of my lap top just depends on the day. I am going back to my silhouette
- When they work they are fast
- Only work correctly about 25 percent of the time

Verified ReviewerCricut Joy stopped working and the Power Cord Nightmare
I bought the Joy for use for labels and vinyl stickers for my Daughters Bachelorette in June. I started having trouble with the power cord.
I'd have to hold it just right for it to work properly. Once the white light would illuminate it would immediately turn to red. I put it away for 3 months and 2 days ago took it back out Troubleshooting on Cricuts help page indicated changing plugs and or replacing the power source. I bought a new power cable.
It did not solve the problem.
I contacted customer care. I waited in que for 10 minutes before being given the option for a call back.
got the call back and the person on the line was clearly a trainee with a script. After repeating my problem, several times, telling her the exact steps i took, and giving her my email to access my account, the serial number of the machine (which i had to photograph and zoom jn to read, she told me that the Cricut i had was Unfortunately out of Warranty. I said its only 5 months old.
She put me on a 5 minute hold and came back and said that I was right it was still under warranty. Then she requested a Video of me plugging it into the wall to demonstrate the defect and to attach that to an email with the Ticket number she was creating. The email she sent me to respond to, had the Ticket number in the subject matter. I did it.
I sent 4 videos showing me plugging it into 2 different wall plugs in 2 different rooms using 2 different power cords. i waited and 3 hours later I got another phone call. She asked me to send her a photo of the Serial number and a piece of paper with the Ticket number and the Serial number written on it. I did it.
I sent the photo i had taken of the serial number which i asked if that was what she needed and an additional photo of my handwritten ticket number along with the serial number. (now mind you she is stumbling over a script and repeating herself many times in the process. I waited another hour and got another phone call She told me i needed to send a picture of the machine and the written out ticket. I said that I did.
She got flustered and said, No I need the machine next to the paper. I told her I had sent her videos of me plugging in the machine, plus a photo of the bottom of it with the serial number and y this time I was angry and asked if I could please speak to someone else. She said NO it would be 3 business days before I could talk to a supervisor or anyone else! i SAID YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.
I frustratingly asked. What EXACTLY DO YOU NEED. A picture of the machine with a piece of paper with the hand written ticket number on it in the same photo. It took 4 hrs to get to this request.
I don't know if im getting my machine fixed or What... and Next month is Christmas!!

Verified Reviewer$12 fox but have to buy a brand new cricut
A roller is broken on my cricut machine and yes you can buy them on Amazon for $12 and fix it yourself BUT it is IMPOSSIBLE!!! There are a million tiny screws in the most inconvenient areas !!
I cut up my hand just trying to take the machine apart to fix a $12 issue !!! I couldnt even finish and WIll not be able to put the machine back together ! Again IMPOSSIBLE!! I called and they said we can give you $50 promo towards another machine ..
thats ridiculous! Cricut does not have ANY repair shops or people to work on these machines and no one can afford or want to throw away a $400 machine for a $12 fix ! They expect us to just throw it away and buy a new one whenever there is an issue !! Also I have only had the Cricut for 3 years and only have used it maybe 6 times !
I LOVE the cricut machine but there has to be something to make these machines better ! Not happy at all !
After the phone call with cricut they promised to call me back the same day after their management reviews my issue ! A week later and I still have not heard anything !
- Great product
- Cannot did a 12 dollar issue

Ads are making design use impossible
I love cricut, I have the family cricut, infusion ink press, cricut heat press, cricut joy, and another big cricut. I have the cricut vinyl, markers, cricut carrier, & cricut mats.
I have given yall so much money and am a loyal customer but for the love of all that's good please stop asking me to sign up for your cricut access membership every 10 seconds. I'm really good at cricut. I don't need a membership because I wouldn't ever benefit from it.
I custom design everything I do so please stop with the advertising harassment. Please please please, I use my cricut all the time and have for years so this pop up everytime is driving me crazy!!
User's recommendation: Be prepared to be harassed on the design space every 10 seconds

Verified Reviewer | Harrisburg, PennsylvaniaITS A THROW AWAY MACHINE NO OPTION FOR REPAIR
My Cricut is four years old, but hardly used until now since I am retired. Continually stops cutting midway through cut error says lost connection.
Called Cricut several times which was at least a hour wait each time. The last representative took over my laptop and tried several things which did not help. Now they say there is nothing they can do because its out of warranty which I get, but they do not do repairs or sell refurbished machines. So, do they think customers can just throw away a couple year old machine and send to the landfill every couple of years??
If they do not offer repairs, they should have to replace!! But no, every complaint you see on the Better Business Bureau, uses the same old reply, its over the one year warranty. I was told today that they now offer extended warrantys, but that doesnt help me and also leads me to believe that they realize they have a problem with a product that does not last. Come on Cricut!
This isnt Temu, a company where you know youre not getting quality made products. So do the right thing and admit these machines DO NOT LAST and stand behind your product and help out the hundreds of people that are having the same problem!!
User's recommendation: Consider the above information before spending $200 and up on a product that does not offer repairs.

The circuit company is the worst. My machine can’t print and cut.
They offered me a 25 dollar discount to buy a new one. I was in the phone all day and even emailing the pictures and zoom. They have no solution to getting your machine fixed. I ask for a supervisor she suggest it was the mat.
Omg that don’t work. Even to delete design space . They don’t help you. This company is worth less I would love to sue.
A lot of people have the same problem and these machines are not cheap. I would never buy another cricuit it’s no wonder people are buying the silhouette
I am in the same boat. No option to repair their product. I think all customers with this same issue should consider a class action lawsuit.
Yes I would be the first sueing them
