Just got a Cricut Explore Air 2 for Christmas and already I’ve wasted about six hours of my life doing two, what should have been, twenty minute projects. Thought this would be a great asset to me as a teacher but between the constant “machine communication errors”, Design Space taking a half-hour to load just about anything, and the machine itself cutting anywhere it wants to regardless of where the project is on the mat, I’m thinking returning this hunk of junk and just going back to cutting stuff out by hand might be a way better idea. Very disappointed.

Did you do any troubleshooting to figure out why? Like maybe you have *** internet service which is why most people have problems.

Yeah, I’m in the same exact boat as all of you. My husband just got it for me for Christmas and I freaking love what I’ve been able to do so far.

However I’ve been trying to use it for the last hour and still can’t get it to cut. Uuuggghhh

I am also having the same exact issue! And with you, was so excited for this new machine, especially because it could write, but I might just keep my old machine and return this if this becomes the norm.

I’m on chat right now with Cricut support and they say it’s a known issue with iOS 11.2.1 And are working to resolve (but no estimated timing). Only option at the moment is to unpair and repair until they fix it...

I know it's frustrating, but try to be patient. This is not the norm.

Cricut is very good about addressing issues as fast as possible. This is happening to me too suddenly, after having my Cricut Maker for a couple of months. It was working like a dream. Now it's giving me those same problems.

I called Cricut support yesterday and they assure me they are working fast and furious to get this resolved. Clearly it's a problem that has just popped up, and will hopefully be fixed quickly.
